2019: The Year of Anointings
Webster’s Dictionary defines “anoint” as “to officially or formally choose (someone) to do or to be something.” When God anoints an individual, He sends His Holy Spirit to smear that person with a spiritual endowment that equips and enables them to step into and carry out their God-given plan and purpose here on earth. Simply put, an anointing is God’s Power on us to do good—the specific good He has created us to do.
The Lord began speaking to my spirit back in November regarding this up-and-coming New Year. To be more precise, our Precious Papa invaded my thoughts (in a good and always welcome way) on November 23, 2018 at 7.28AM. I will save the significance of this date and time for a future occasion. The Spirit of the Living God said “2019 will be the Year where I release My Anointings upon those who have been sincerely crying out to me for more. For those who have been battling, and in some cases overcome by, hopelessness, despair, purposelessness, restlessness, depression, and oppression, and for those caught up in tarrying and travailing, I am going to invade their space and drop upon each the anointing to equip them to be who I called them to be, and to accomplish what I ordained them to accomplish.”
Every person has the eligibility, capacity, and potential for God’s anointing. In truth, God has a plan and a purpose already stored up for each and every one of us. One of His great desires is that we ask Him to release us into who He called us to be, and what He called us to do—our Divine Destiny and Kingdom eternal purpose.
The Great Endower echoes this truth throughout the Universe with a resounding rub of reverberation: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11).
The Great King David testifies of this triumph when he penned: “Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them. How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them!” (Psalm 136:16-17). And the Benevolent Giver of Life responds in agreement: “I knew you before I formed you, and I set you apart before I laid the foundations of the world” (Ephesians 1:4-14, Romans 8:29, Jeremiah 1:5).
This will be an unprecedented year for many, Family. This will be a year where God mixes the former and the latter rains, and a year where the sower will overtake the reaper.
“Let us know, let us pursue the knowledge of the Lord. His going forth is established as the morning; He will come to us like the rain, like the latter and former rain to the earth” (Hosea 6:3). “‘Behold, the days are coming,’” says the Lord, ‘When the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him who sows seed; the mountains shall drip with sweet wine, and all the hills shall flow with it. I will bring back the captives of My people Israel; they shall build the waste cities and inhabit them; they shall plant vineyards and drink wine from them; they shall also make gardens and eat fruit from them. I will plant them in their land, and no longer shall they be pulled up from the land I have given them,’ Says the Lord your God” (Amos 9:13-15).
This is going to be a year of equipping like we have never seen. So, get ready for God to fit and fashion you with who He called you to be, and what He called you to do.
I pray that God break through for you, and bless you in ways that you never thought possible, above and beyond anything you could ever ask or imagine!
With warmest regards,
And in service of the Most High King,
Matthew
